Lunar Moon Exhibition Poster
Poster Design, Graphic DesignThe Lunar Moon exhibition is a collection of artwork from multiple talented artists and their own creative portrayal of the universe and the space within it.
Gradients have been used as a main design aspect of this poster project, creating highlights on shapes for dimension. This technique was also used for the top half of the poster’s background design, with multiple colours used to create a column-like effect. A bold black type has been used for the title to allow it to stand out clearly from the colourful background.
Multiple circles have been used as a secondary part of the overall design, one of which is being used to make a stick man character, cross shaped bubbles spread across the poster and the moon itself. This ties in nicely with the theme of the exhibition being about space and the universe and of course it’s name being “Lunar Moon”, as circles make up many of the shapes that exsist within space.
Although the overall layout is quite experimental and playful, the design still holds a strong hierachy of importance that plays a big role within graphic design. This allows the viewer to still effectively read through the information the way it’s intended.
The colour palette again is a perfect representation of the type of exhibition the design is for, housing cool-tone colours and black that link with the idea of space and the planets within it.
