The Coleman Institute, is a San Francisco based institute that is best known for their high quality science, technology, ecology and environmentalism. Their key message is to create the next generation of respectable researchers that can build a better future.
The university wished to portray its key message along with what it's best known for while still being able to appeal to their target audience.
A logomark which included symbols to represent each of the features of the institute were placed inside of an emblem, each with their own colour representing different meanings such as trust, passion, energy and growth. Each colour was carefully chosen per meaning to ensure it encapsulated the true connotation. These were placed inside of an emblem as this represents that the institute is an organisation and family. This logomark has both a light and dark version allowing further use of its design over a span of different educational needs.
These symbols are used across numerous branded products for the institute, allowing what they are best known for to be showcased alongside their key message.
